Campus organization works to protect any, all forms of human life

Board members of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's Pro-Life Cajuns organization weighed in on this year's outlook for the group, including their continued protection of anti-abortion rights. The Pro-Life Cajuns Facebook lists the organization's mission: "Through peaceful activism, sharing of informative literature, discussions, speeches and community service outreach, Pro-Life Cajuns promote a culture of life on campus and beyond."

UL Press to showcase more than 20 published books

The UL Press' published authors will showcase their 2017 book releases at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's Alumni Center at 6 p.m. Nov. 1. "This is the first time we focused on a specific year's entirety all at one event," said Michael Martin, Ph.D., director of the Center for Louisiana Studies, which oversees UL Press.

Broadway on the bayou: "Sweeney Todd" to hit UL stage

"Sweeney Todd: the Demon Barber of Fleet Street" is a Tony and Oliver award-winning musical set to music and lyrics by Steven Sondheim, and now its Lafayette debut will take place thanks in part to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's Opera Theater, Wind Ensemble and Performing Arts.
