I live in Washington, DC and there is no shortage of things to do in the city. Destination Inspiration: Brussels, Belgium

Brussels, the capital of Europe is known for its beers and waffles, but there is so much more. It is underrated compared to its neighbors Paris, Amsterdam and London. However, when you look deep into the city, with its art nouveau architecture, beautiful off the beaten path gardens, and cafes it's definitely a must-see city.

As a territory of the United States, there is no passport required (Puerto Ricans are US Citizens), no lines through customs, and no tedious currency exchange. It's the perfect escape for Americans on the east coast to take for a long weekend.

Recently the city has taken another reputation and has been listed in publications such as Lonely Planet, Conde Nast Traveler, and Travel and Leisure as a must-see destination.
