The Finishers

I'm a skilled writer, editor, and content strategist with 10+ years of working experience. I've written and edited full books, magazine and web articles, and other content forms. In my time as the Director of Publishing for Cru, our team has released 30 products and I've served as the lead editor on 5. I love making complex ideas simple and communicating the message of Jesus in clear, relevant, and understandable ways.
I'm also a quick learner able to contribute technical writing, marketing and email copy, creative nonfiction, and strategic business content. I write fiction, mostly short stories, and have operated sportswriting sites as personal hobbies through the years. My current sports project is www.ellomenobrackets.com.

A few years ago I wrote a blog featuring letters to my deceased father as a way of processing grief. Cru, the ministry I serve with, decided to publish one of the posts on their site to offer a more personal and honest reflection on enduring hardship.

Produced during my time serving as Cru's Director of Publishing, this questionnaire inspired by a passage in the book of Isaiah gives urban-focused churches and social organizations a way to connect to the hearts and needs of those in their cities. I helped in the conceptual design and edited the written content. Staff members in Cru's US Church Movements ministry use the tool widely and share it with partner churches and ministries.
