• Expert Editing: With a Ph.D. in Composition & Rhetoric, many years as a professional writer/editor, over a decade of teaching advanced composition, and the successful completion of several large editing projects including dissertations, business reports, and SEO content marketing, I have consistently demonstrated my ability to produce writing/editing commensurate with the expectations of my customer.

• Professional Writing: As a freelance academic and business writer, I have worked with academic journals and corporations to help them create content for their websites and publications. I have also been published in several magazines, journals, and websites. As an avid blogger with several blogs about the writing process, health & fitness, technology, and online marketing, I am constantly writing and fine-tuning my craft.

• Teaching and Curriculum Design: As a college professor of English composition, I have based my many years of curriculum development on the latest research in my field. My composition lessons are grounded in composition theory, and my college courses are hybrid – part online, part in person. I love the opportunity to produce both synchronous and asynchronous lessons for my students. I also teach Chinese students of all ages online via Skype, AC, and QQ.

• Sales and Marketing Experience: I have worked in many different facets of sales: supporting a marketing team and preparing their presentations, working in inside sales, building new client portfolios, managing outside sales for long-term clients, and creating marketing materials, websites, brochures, multi-media and marketing campaigns.

Inquiry-based labs allow students to engage in science practices that require them to think and act like scientists. The focus in AP® Chemistry is shifting from content coverage - breadth - toward enduring understandings and scientific reasoning skills - depth. This workshop will provide AP Chemistry teachers with a means to understand inquiry and its place in the classroom.
