Flint schools approves funding stopgap, teachers will get paid

FLINT, MI - Teachers within the Flint School District will be paid this month and those checks should keep coming - at least through the end of the school year. The district approved going after about $6 million in loans from the state, requesting to get its February monthly state aid check early and signed off on its deficit elimination plan during a special board meeting on Monday, Feb.

Bluffton mourns with boy's family

The sparkling blue eyes and infectious smile looked out from the hundreds of pictures of Jacob "Jake" Michuda that surrounded his family and friends Tuesday. The boy, who would have been 5 years old next month, wore a coonskin cap as he lay in his casket during a public visitation at Lancaster Elementary School in Bluffton.

Airspeed, missed approach cited in Hatch crash report
