When you think of women in the music business you rarely think 'corner office or CEO'. Instead you probably think about sexism, the sexualisation of females in music videos or how 47% of women working in music in the UK, earn less than £10,000 per year (compared to 35% of men).
Brittany Hodak was in her 20s when she had an idea for a company that could help reinvigorate music sales. She decided to launch the company Zinepak, which connects musicians with their fans through exclusive content packages (zine stands for magazine and pack for package) with her friend Kim Kaupe.
Dr. Danielle Sheypuk is an NYC based disability-rights advocate and licensed clinical psychologist, she specialises in the problems of dating, relationships and sexuality among the disabled. As part of the Women of the World Festival at The Apollo Harlem, she spoke about the importance of getting the mainstream to celebrate disability and dating.
